It’s officially the holiday season and with almost everyone staying home, it is the perfect opportunity to go all out when decorating your home this year!
There are many ways to create a statement for the holidays in your home that don’t take a whole lot of creativity and time. Whether it is a wreath or a festive door sign, this is one way to spruce up the exterior of your home without the stress of hanging a bunch of lights. Wreaths and door signs are great, because they last through the entire winter and not just the holiday season. Starting with a simple wreath and incorporating some ribbon or accessories can be a great way to change it up! One way to decorate the mantle is by adding lots of greenery. You don’t have to stick to the traditional garland approach, but spice it up by adding in other types as well, such as eucalyptus and magnolia. Adding in lots of real and artificial candles can give a cozy festive look in your home. A favorite of mine this year are mini holiday villages, that can be filled with candles. You can find holiday villages in all sizes and colors that fit your theme. One way to create a cohesive look to your holiday decor is through having a set color palette. A super cute trend for this year is tree baskets. Instead of going the traditional approach with a tree skirt, a wicker tree basket could be a cute switch up for this year! Another popular trend for this year is metallic glass accent trees. Most of these glass trees are very simple and do not scream holiday. Choose ways to maximize table and mantle space when decorating. An easy way to change up your decor for the holidays is through switching out pillows and throw blankets. Switching to green tones and adding hints of metallics can really bring out the holiday spirit in your home!
