Crew Teammate, Gina Barton shares some ways to get creative with dining out during our time in quarantine as most restaurants are still operating under some limitations in Maryland.
With our multitude of local restaurants and waterfront dining, we are typically enjoying dining al fresco during this time of the year without any limitations. With Covid-19 upon us, we are all having to get a little creative with how we dine out.
We may not be able to enjoy the restaurant experience right now if restaurants don’t have outdoor seating, but there are many ways we can still enjoy some of our restaurant favorites while supporting our local establishments!
Many of us are enjoying the curbside pick up option when we get a craving for our favorite restaurant. If you are looking for some new options or want to mix it up, check out this Annapolis website for local restaurant offerings: https://www.annapolis.gov/1638/Curbside-Pickup-During-COVID-19
Some of the restaurants are getting creative in their offerings. For example if you want to skip the grocery store, Vida Taco Bar and Garys Grill are offering grocery boxes with fresh staples along with their regular take out options. You can even grab some margaritas to go and a roll of toilet paper at Vida! Park Tavern offers up some delicious family style meals (Chicken Parmesan, Taco trays and more), as well as special occasion meal packages. April's Table has a dinner club which allows you to pre-order two meals a week. Many options to explore!
Some residents have been purchasing gift cards to local restaurants and anonymously delivering to friends and neighbors. Once received, you can then pay it forward to someone else. Great way to brighten someone's day and support our restaurants.
Many of our favorite food trucks are also making more frequent appearances. Checkout their websites or Facebook to see when they will be in a location near you. You can also reach out directly and try to schedule a visit to your neighborhood:
Greek on Street
Blendabowl
Jino's Steaks
Mutiny Pirate Bar and Island Grille
Jimmy's Famous Seafood
As the weather gets nicer, move out of the kitchen-throw a picnic blanket in the yard, set up a tent and enjoy a bonfire, sit on your boat or decorate your porch with fun lights & enjoy your meal!
